Post-IUD Cramping – Normal or Not?

Cramping after IUD insertion is common and usually improves within 24 to 48 hours. Mild cramping and spotting can continue for several days, but severe or worsening pain, fever, chills, unusual discharge, or pain that persists may signal complications requiring prompt medical evaluation.
