As early as I can remember, I wanted to be an ob/gyn physician, and pursued that goal with vigor! I earned my medical degree in 2005 from Wright State University, and ultimately became an ob/gyn physician after I completed my residency training at the University of Texas, Health Science Center at Houston in 2009.
I gained extensive experience working in the private sector as a Partner in one of the largest ob/gyn physician groups in Sugar Land, Texas. I also gained valuable experience working in academia as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas, McGovern School of Medicine where I helped train the next generation of ob/gyn physicians.
Over the years, I have worked with and treated diverse women across cultures and social statuses. I have developed an extraordinary appreciation for the women that I am privileged to serve, the complexities of a woman’s anatomy; the unique pressures that society places on women, and the importance of balancing the physical, emotional, and spiritual to achieve total care.
In the current traditional model of delivering health care, many doctors have to rush through seeing 20-30 patients daily due to reimbursement difficulty by health insurance. The patients usually feel rushed and dissatisfied.
My knowledge and appreciation of these factors led me to open IVANA MD as a concierge, holistic, and integrative-medicine clinic that is focused on providing gynecological care, sexual health, and intimacy coaching services through a direct patient care model that is not burdened by health insurance reimbursement challenges. My goal is to delight my patients by providing high quality care to each patient—on their own terms. I consult with patients by telephone, video conference, office visit, and off site visits—at mutually agreed upon location. It is my deep belief that my patients deserve this level of care and attention. My team and I are committed to providing a gratifying experience to each patient.
I am a wife to an amazing husband and a mother of 2 boys and 1 girl. I am a devoted Christian. When I am not practicing medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, writing, reading and dancing.
