N. Ivana Amajoh Anunobi MD., FACOG
Ob-Gyn doctor with experience in private practice, academia, and life!
As early as I can remember, I wanted to be an ob/gyn physician, and pursued that goal with vigor! I earned my medical degree in 2005 from Wright State University, and ultimately became an ob/gyn physician after I completed my residency training at the University of Texas, Health Science Center at Houston in 2009.
I gained extensive experience working in the private sector as a Partner in one of the largest ob/gyn physician groups in Sugar Land, Texas. I also gained valuable experience working in academia as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas, McGovern School of Medicine where I helped train the next generation of ob/gyn physicians.
Over the years, I have worked with and treated diverse women across cultures and social statuses. I have developed an extraordinary appreciation for the women that I am privileged to serve, the complexities of a woman’s anatomy; the unique pressures that society places on women, and the importance of balancing the physical, emotional, and spiritual to achieve total care.
My knowledge and appreciation of these factors led me to open IVANA MD as a holistic clinic focused on providing gynecological care, sexual health, and aesthetics. While initially operating on a direct patient care model, we have adapted to now accept insurance to further support our patients’ needs. My goal is to delight each patient by providing high-quality care on their own terms, through telephone, video conference, office visits, and off-site visits at mutually agreed-upon locations. It’s my deep belief that my patients deserve this level of care and attention, and my team and I are committed to providing a gratifying experience to each patient.
I am a wife to an amazing husband and a mother of 2 boys and 1 girl. I am a devoted Christian. When I am not practicing medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, writing, reading and dancing.
