When Is Pelvic Pain a Sign of Something More Serious?

Pelvic pain can be a warning sign of serious conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease, or ectopic pregnancy. While mild discomfort may be normal, persistent, severe, or worsening pelvic pain—especially with fever, bleeding, or nausea—requires prompt evaluation by a women’s health specialist.
